Supply Chain & Quality Manager (d/f/m)

In order to support Customer Services, Airbus Commercial is looking for a Supply Chain & Quality Manager (d/f/m) for the commodity Aerostructure located in Hamburg.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the contract execution of Airbus Customer Services suppliers, driving their On Quality and On Time performance and development. 

You will maintain complete oversight of supplier activities to ensure an accurate understanding of their overall situation. You will be accountable for the implementation of recovery, improvement, and development plans to ensure product and service deliveries in accordance with contractual requirements while collaborating across multi-functional and divisional teams.

Your Location 

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Managing supply chain and quality aspects of supplier contracts to secure On Time and On Quality performance.
• Identifying supplier industrial risks and issues, proposing mitigation actions, and following up on recovery and development plans.
• Assessing suppliers and coordinating operations to support the After Sales ramp-up.
• Monitoring New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfer of Work (ToW) to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.
• Ensuring supplier Approval and Compliance with Airbus and EASA requirements in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Contributing to supplier evaluation during the tendering phase and selection process.
• Coordinating interfaces across Multi-Functional and Divisional Teams and supporting interaction with subcontractors.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (Master's degree or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or Logistics.
• Solid professional experience in aerospace or automotive industries.
• Proven experience in supplier management, supply chain management, and quality management.
• Experience applying project management methodologies, capacity management, and lean methodologies.
• Practical familiarity or confidence with industrial audits and SAP knowledge.
• Analytical thinking, structured working approach, and strong collaboration abilities in team environment.
• Advanced communication skills in English; proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is beneficial.
• This role will involve moderate business travel globally and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
