In order to fill a fixed-term position in part-time (26,6861 hours /67%) at the earliest possible date, we are looking for 1 Ph.D. candidate (m/f/x) in organic chemistry (organocatalysis/supramolecular chemistry) Our group at Ruhr-University Bochum is mostly concerned with the study of noncovalent interactions. In parallel, however, we also explore the chemistry of donor-substituted cyclopropenium (cyclopropanide) systems. Scope: part-time Duration: fixed-term, 3 Start: at the earliest possible date Apply by: 2026-08-04 Your tasks: The candidate (m/f/x) will design multi-step synthesis towards functionalized cylcopropanide systems and will contribute to concept development.. Targets will be characterized by NMR, other spectroscopic techniques, as well as CV and sXRD. A articular focus will be on diazo compounds and their follow-up reactions.
