We are looking for an experienced **Senior Legal Counsel** who combines strong corporate and M&A expertise with business acumen and a collaborative mindset.
**About the role**
In this senior role you:
- Provide corporate legal support and ensure corporate compliance for the global Nexperia group, including Nexperia Germany and the Hamburg site (which includes corporate housekeeping and ESG).
- Act as secretary to the Nexperia Germany Board of Directors.
- Support the Deputy Chief Legal Officer ("DCLO") on specific matters in strategic corporate projects, such as in the field of Corporate/M&A, Finance, Tax and Treasury (which includes M&A, investments, strategic co-operations (incl R&D), intercompany agreements, treasury and insurance matters).
- Deliver commercial legal support to certain key customers under the supervision of the DCLO.
- Are managing disputes, litigation and claims (such as distributors, local suppliers etc).
- Are managing outside legal counsel and legal spend.
- Support the German Corporate Affairs department.
The role is based at our office in **Hamburg**, and you will report directly to the Deputy Chief Legal Officer.
**What you will need**
The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of relevant experience as a corporate lawyer or (in-house) legal counsel and is ready to further apply and deepen their expertise in an international environment.
Furthermore, you have:
- A completed university degree in law.
- A truly international mindset and have excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Strong knowledge of and experience in corporate law and ESG in an international setting.
- Relevant experience gained at a leading law firm and/or a multinational company (considered as an advantage).
- M&A experience (considered a strong advantage).
- Experience working closely with Finance, Treasury and/or Tax departments.
- Litigation experience (considered an advantage).
- Proven experience working with C‑suite and senior management stakeholders.
