Associate Specialist, Ocean Product & Pricing

Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our **Procurement** in the position of \*\*Associate Specialist, Ocean Product & Pricing.\*\*  This role will provide the forwarding business with International Logistic Product support, acting as product lead for EMEA region. ## Responsibilities \*\*Main Responsibilities:\*\*  - Support vendor rate and capability analysis - Continuous carrier portfolio review for services specific to the region - Support procurement activities for spot bids and RFQs  - Research for market intel and prepare relevant materials in support of commercial activities of EMEA commercial team - Review and analyse key customer profitability reports - Coordinate rate management process for trades managed by EMEA Procurement ## Qualifications \*\*What we are looking for:\*\*  - Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding - Strong analytical skills and mindset - Good Excel skills - Self-confident and openminded individual - Flexibility and ability to work with time constraints - Proficiency in English is required, knowledge of the second European Language would be an asset (German, Dutch, other) - Previous experience with Rate Management system is an asset **What we are offering:** - Participation in our global Cash Bonus Plan - Employer funded public transport ticket (HVV ProfiTicket) or transportation allowance - Company pensions scheme (bAV) - Flexible working times & a hybrid work model - Regular trainings and excellent development opportunities within APL Logistics globally - Working in an open team with a supportive working atmosphere. The typical salary range for this position is: € 45,000 - € 55,753 (paid in 13-month salaries) The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills and experience.
