\*\*The following challenges await you:\*\*  - Lead the implementation and continuous development of EHS culture, policies, and standards across the EMEA region and support the global EHS Team. - Establish a shared vision, clear direction, and accountability framework for EHS across regional sites. - Provide functional leadership and guidance to EHS teams within the region. - Drive the development and execution of a sustainable EHS strategy aligned with global objectives. - Ensure full compliance with all applicable EHS regulations to safeguard business continuity. - Monitor and assess regulatory developments, industry trends, and innovations, translating them into actionable insights. - Foster best practice sharing and strong cross-functional collaboration across the EMEA region. - Ongoing dialogue with other companies and associations to identify current developments in the field of EHS and assess their benefits for Heraeus. - Support M&A activities and new projects from an EHS perspective. - Build and maintain effective relationships with authorities and industry associations. - Act as a trusted advisor to regional and global leadership on all EHS matters. **Your profile:** - University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field - \~10 years of professional experience in EHS, including significant exposure to local and international environments - Demonstrated experience in leading EHS initiatives and influencing without direct line authority - Strong background in EHS regulations and compliance within the EMEA region - Proven ability to drive cultural change and implement strategic initiatives - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including external representation - Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach - Fluent in English; good German knowledge is a plus - Willingness to travel within EMEA **What we offer:** - **Strong salary package** - attractive base salary plus bonus and support for private pension plan - **Modern working time arrangements** - time sovereignty without time recording, focus on results-oriented work - **Regular time off** - 30 days annual leave plus up to 6 additional days off (company closures on bridge days and between years), special leave for special occasions, life phase account for paid time off (e.g. sabbatical, earlier retirement) - **Additional benefits** - subsidized public transport, discounts in many (online) stores, company medical service with comprehensive preventive medical check-ups, sports facilities and employee canteen with freshly prepared meals every day - **Sustainability and social commitment** - sustainability as part of the corporate strategy and targeted support for initiatives in the areas of education, family and science through our own foundations
