- Lead the implementation and continuous development of EHS culture, policies, and standards across the EMEA region and support the global EHS Team.
- Establish a shared vision, clear direction, and accountability framework for EHS across regional sites.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to EHS teams within the region.
- Drive the development and execution of a sustainable EHS strategy aligned with global objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable EHS regulations to safeguard business continuity.
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments, industry trends, and innovations, translating them into actionable insights.
- Foster best practice sharing and strong cross-functional collaboration across the EMEA region.
- Ongoing dialogue with other companies and associations to identify current developments in the field of EHS and assess their benefits for Heraeus.
- Support M&A activities and new projects from an EHS perspective.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with authorities and industry associations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to regional and global leadership on all EHS matters.
**Your profile:**
- University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field
- \~10 years of professional experience in EHS, including significant exposure to local and international environments
- Demonstrated experience in leading EHS initiatives and influencing without direct line authority
- Strong background in EHS regulations and compliance within the EMEA region
- Proven ability to drive cultural change and implement strategic initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including external representation
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
- Fluent in English; good German knowledge is a plus
- Willingness to travel within EMEA
